Two Washington-Lee High School athletes will be competing in the Fencing Junior Olympics in Memphis, Feb.16-19.
Hannah Dembosky, a junior, and Raynor Baker-Rosenberg, a freshman, qualified recently for the tournament, which includes the best fencers in the nation. Dembosky is a three-time Junior Olympian, and will compete in women’s epee for ages 17-and-under. Baker-Rosenberg will compete in her first Junior Olympics in women’s foil for ages 17-and-under. The fencers are coached by Greg Kaidanov, the head coach at NOVA Fencing Club in Falls Church. Your comment will be posted after it is approved.
