We are offering a three-day Intro-to-Fencing camp during spring break, April 11-13.
For Beginners and Introductory, our three-day camp will introduce your child to the basics of epee fencing in a fun, safe and exciting environment. We will develop key fencing skills such as hand and footwork, basic movements and simple strategies using age-appropriate games and fun partner drills. Our emphasis is always on team spirit and good sportsmanship.
For Intermediate fencers, the participants will be practicing drills in pairs, participating in new and exciting footwork exercises, and fencing in a practice tournament daily. The campers will also play games, participate in general conditioning and in coordination-reflex drills.
Kids need some downtime and our program mixes high-energy activities with periods of rest. Each day, campers will take a break from fencing to enjoy an age-appropriate fencing-oriented movie or play some old-fashioned board games that focus on one of our favorite skills – strategy!
