Nova Fencing Camps
En Garde! Ready? Fence! Nova Fencing Camps are a great introduction to the Olympic sport of fencing through fun drills and games. Learn basic footwork and bladework skills from experienced coaches who have developed both national and international competitors and several current Junior Olympians. Our camp includes indoor/outdoor activities such as playground, soccer, chess Legos and Glow-in-the-Dark Fencing.
All camps will teach and refine the fundamentals of fencing including hand and footwork, drills and bouting. The day also mixes in fun camp activities and games. Camps end with a team tournament using electrical equipment. Why our fencing camp? Because fencing is fun! We love it, we play great games, get fit, and make lasting friendships.
Our camps are for fencers with no experience through intermediate level fencers. Fencers will be grouped according to their ability. Equipment and uniforms are provided, including protective masks, jackets, chest protectors and gloves.
Each camp is taught by instructors under the direction of Head Coach Greg Kaidanov. All of our coaches are First Aid/CPR/AED and USOC Safe Sport certified.
Camps can be repeated, since every bout brings a new experience.
Core fencing hours are 9 AM - 3 PM. Extended hours are 8:30 to 5:00. There is no additional cost for extended hours.
Arlington County offers is committed to ensuring access to all programs regardless of ability to pay and therefore has a comprehensive fee reduction program for Arlington County residents. Contact us for more information.
