Counselors-in-training

Picture
The 3-week Counselor-in-Training (CIT) Program is an intensive, hands-on training experience that gives teens valuable insight into the role of a camp counselor.  Each CIT is paired with a camp counselor and works under the supervision of a coach.  CITs will develop their decision-making and problem-solving skills by assisting with daily activities and camper care.

You must be an active member of Nova Fencing and Archery Club to be considered for a CIT position.  Other requirements include: you must be at least 15 years old at the start of the CIT program, you must be available for 3 weeks during the summer, and you must possess an interest in working with children ages 8 to 14.
This is an unpaid, volunteer position.  The first hires for our Summer Counselor positions are from our CIT program.

Working at our summer camp provides the staff with real world work experience that translates directly into the job skills that they will need.  Staffers learn
  1.  Critical Thinking & Problem Solving
  2.  Creativity & Innovation
  3.  Communication & Collaboration
