The 3-week Counselor-in-Training (CIT) Program is an intensive, hands-on training experience that gives teens valuable insight into the role of a camp counselor. Each CIT is paired with a camp counselor and works under the supervision of a coach. CITs will develop their decision-making and problem-solving skills by assisting with daily activities and camper care.
You must be an active member of Nova Fencing and Archery Club to be considered for a CIT position. Other requirements include: you must be at least 15 years old at the start of the CIT program, you must be available for 3 weeks during the summer, and you must possess an interest in working with children ages 8 to 14. This is an unpaid, volunteer position. The first hires for our Summer Counselor positions are from our CIT program.
