This camp is for epee and saber fencers who are currently enrolled in a fencing program.
Join us for this Summer’s Fencing Camp with Wagner College’s Head Coach David Sierra and Maestros Gil Pezza, Carlos Valencia and Marco Secco. This five day camp will focus on competition.
Coach David Sierra is the head coach at Wagner College, and is also currently serves as the Education Manager for the USFCA, helping to design curriculum and certification systems for fencing coaches across the country. Prior to coaching at Wagner College, Coach Sierra ran a highly successful club in Fort Worth, Texas, placing students across the NCAA including Notre Dame, Ohio State, Brandeis, Air Force, and Stevens Institute of Technology.
Maestro Gil Pezza is returning for his third year coaching at Nova’s fencing camp. He is the former head coach of Wayne State University and is currently coaching at PA2FA in Michigan. As a college coach, Coach Pezza was named the NCAA Coach of the Decade, producing nineteen All-Americans. Currently, he is analyzing what it takes to win at the youth level and implementing the results to great success at PA2FA.
This camps will run Sunday - Thursday to best prepare our fencers for Summer Nationals. An additional day of camp will be provided on Friday for those who need childcare. The Friday camp will be run by our Games Coach, Coach Julian. ($50)
